I my laptop to my TV that has component connections. My laptop has two S-Video and VGA ports. What a better picture quality? ... "S-video connection to component or VGA to component connection.

If you only "quality" regular TV (480p), and S-video is needed is sufficient.
If you HD quality, then go to the VGA adapter. And he will have VGA-Converter/Scaler when the laptop graphics card can not the component video output.
